Observation--Part 2: Fast food government!

There are many ways in which we can classify the Obama administration and the democrat party as a whole. One of the most interesting ideas that I have had in the past few weeks is the thought of comparing our government to a fast food restaurant. Of course, this seems like a strange concept at first, but the more I ponder this thought, the more it makes sense--the more the similarities begin to emerge. Imagine with me a small, local diner offering great food at a decent price. Not everyone can afford eating there all the time, but I'm not talking about outrageous prices, by any means. Now imagine that one day, there is a public outcry by the lower-class in this community calling for lower prices and 'food for everyone!' Fearing going out-of-business, our diner must reinvent itself as a fast food venue: i.e. 'Obama King', 'McBiden's', your choice. What will the public outcry be then when the community realizes that while the prices go down and the availability goes up, quality falls right along with the price! Pretty soon, nobody wants to eat at our little economic experiment! Understand me, I'm not trashing the fast-food industry, but everybody knows that if you want a high quality burger, fast-food is not the direction one should go. Don't be fooled! Just as everybody knows that the burger you see on the menu is not what you are going to get, the pictures of Obama-care and everything else our government offers that they are painting is NOTHING like what the American people are going to get. Just image how worse our restaurant would be if it could punish those who choose to buy food from somewhere else! Trust me, this is exactly what will happen if we continue to let our 'fast-food' government call the shots.

Lookout!!--Part 2: Anyone and Everyone

I believe that war is breaking out in the Democrat party. It may be in its smaller stages now, but it seems to me that the Left is poised and ready to strike, with each other in the cross-hairs. Obama has already proven that he is willing to attack those who oppose him (i.e. Fox News, talk radio hosts, etc.), but what if the opposition came from his own party? It would be no different. I say this because Obama has shown us that he cares more about his own image then he does about his constituents. Why do you think he hasn't presented his own plan for health-care? Democrats are searching or his leadership and direction, but he hasn't given it. Why? If whatever plan Congress comes up with fails, none of the blame can be cast on him. Sounds to me like typical Obama behavior and his twisted way of doing things.

Observation: A scared America

More and more, I'm hearing from the people of this great nation that the average citizen is afraid. Afraid of what Obama, Pelosi, and the rest of our government is doing. During every presidency, there will typically be that small faction suspicious of what our government is doing, but this can hardly be considered typical. The best example of this is the H1N1 vacine; whether good for us or not, the people of this nation possess a complete lack of trust for anything this government hands us, even if that means something to combat a potentially fatal disease. How is this so? Personally, I think Obama's complete lack of experience and compitency to match has citizens feeling like we're in the back seat of a car driven down the Interstate by a six year old.... and we all know how that would end.

The Conservative's Voice--Part 2: Term limits for 'career politicans'

There is something that I and many other Conservatives have been saying for a very long time: I am sick of our 'representatives'' complete lack of representing the nation! Congressmen on both sides of the aisle have gotten too rapped up in D.C. politics and, by doing so, have lost touch with the American people. It is time that this is stopped! I am calling for both our Senators and Representatives to give themselves term limits. It is nothing short of despicable that our public servants in our nation's capital have become so comfortable living off our dollars and making themselves rulers over us. They must wake-up to the notion that they serve us and our interests not those of their political party, Washington, the federal government, or most certainly not of themselves. Join me and others in saying NO MORE CAREER POLITICIANS who abuse their positions as well as their people.

Democrat Playbook--Part 2: '...by any other name'

Just for a moment, lets contrast the liberal and conservative playbooks. When a conservative wants to change public opinion about a certain issue, he/she simply uses facts to present a clear, concise argument to an audience, hoping to educate them and thereby change the opinion. I have noticed something about the democrat way of changing public opinion, however. Maybe they decided that educating the public is too inefficient, but it seems that if the public doesn't like something, they'll just call it something else! Just make it sound like something the people want! Why allow them decide if they want it when you can make them think its something they already want! The most notorious change is the word 'fairness'. Hmmm, sounds like the democrats would rather play on the emotions of the average person rather than appeal to their intellect. Sounds like nothing but a bunch of classic stereotypical used car salesmen to me.

Sticks and Stones--Part 2: They're at it again!

I'm noticing a pattern. If you've read my posts from last month, you can see that I had pointed out a bad habit of the new administration and their affiliated political party: name calling. As childish as it may sound, the Democrat party has been using this tactic for decades and the latest president is proving to be no better. With support for Socialized Medicine dropping (along with Obama's approval numbers), the Dems bring out an old friend, Jimmy Carter, to dish out some hate and throw down the race card (by the way, isn't it ironic that the Old Jimmy Carter has been called out to save the New Jimmy Carter?). Now, once again, if you have any disagreements with Dr. Obama's plans, you are fueled by racism against our first black president (or should I say half-black president? Then I can only be considered half-racist. Ha). I had disagreements with the Bush administration; does that make me racist against the white race? No, no. According the democrats at that time, I was a patriot!

Goes Around/Comes Around--Part 2:Government Schools

There was quite an uproar last week due to Obama's address to the school children. To all those upset that the President would dare subject our children to such a horror I have something to ask: what did you expect? The public school systems are, by nature, government run. Indoctrination is merely a stone's throw away from government schools. If you happen to take a look at the writings of men like Carl Marx, you will find that taking the schools via the government is one of the top ten essentials to a Socialistic Society. On the other hand, I am very proud of the American people and their stand against the Administration. Given the outcry, Obama was forced to change his approach in dealing with the youngsters of America and gave a message of encouragement anyone could be proud of. If only we could say that his actions backed his words (any good parent knows that a 'Do as I say and not as I do' approach to teaching is the worst thing you can give children). Oh, well.

Speak for Yourself!!: Liberal Media

One thing that I cannot stand is the Obama administration's demonization of the insurance company. Just because insurance companies are a business, which therefore must worry about making a profit (after all, they do have employees to pay), does not at all mean that they are greedy, no-good, money-hungry entities that will kill you if it made them a few extra bucks! By the way, hospitals are businesses as well and are therefore required to make some sort of profit if they ever expect to continue to tend to those who need medical attention. Is that to say that all hospitals are greedy institutions who care nothing of their attendees? Of course not! On top of this, the Obama administration, with help from the 'mainstream' media, has begun an assault on doctors as well! Ironically, the liberal media are all run by businesses, who, just like insurance companies and hospitals, must worry about profit! I wish that the American people could start a campaign calling all liberal media outlets greedy capitalists who only care about money, not the real news. In short, any media outlet putting down insurance companies and/or doctors needs to speak for themselves!--and isn't that the truth.

Goes Around/Comes Around--Part 1: Community Organizing

I know it cannot possibly be just me, but does anyone else see the irony in these town hall meetings? If not, allow me to shed some light: Obama has built quite a career as a community organizer. With Rules for Radicals as his guide, Barak, just a young Illinois lawyer at the time, took to the streets. Whatever agenda needed his help, he was there to bring any element of the rough, Chicago-style politics down on all who stood in its way. The irony of today's situation is that it seems B.O. has caused the greatest uprising of his entire career, involving multiple communities around the nation, against himself and his agenda! This, of course, is no surprise. What did he expect would happen when he targeted, not just single American citizens such as Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, etc., but the American citizenry as a whole?! It just goes to show that when we say 'don't mess with the U.S.', we're not talking about a chunk of land with lakes, mountains, etc., but a people, proud of what God has blessed them with, proud to be called United States citizens, proud to be called free. May we keep this freedom out of the hands of socialists for generations to come.

Lookout!!--Part 1: The unborn

There is a class of Americans that will be under assault under Obama-care and sadly, it is made up of the most defenseless among us: the unborn! Eventually our government will be looking for ways to cut costs in its Socialized Medicine monstrosity. Anybody who believes that those few placed in charge of that future disaster wouldn't start looking at the number of babies born in this country are sadly naive. Our president has already admitted a future assault on the elderly of this nation and America already murders the unborn under the name of abortion by the millions. Nancy Pelosi, our 'beloved' Speaker-of-the-House, has already stated that the Health-care system would save a lot more money with increased family planning! Never forget, while a senator, Obama voted for a bill calling for the infanticide of babies that survive abortions! The people of this nation need to stop explaining away things that the democrats have been saying for years and open their eyes! Luckily, we've still got time to stop this farse before it brings this nation to its knees.

Sticks and Stones: Democrat playbook

What do you do if you have over half of the nation disagree with something you'd like to pass quickly? Isn't it obvious? If you're the Democratic Party, call those in opposition names! It wasn't long ago when our Secretary of State, then Candidate Mrs. Bill Clinton, nearly bled our ears yelling about how anyone has a right to disagree with 'any' administration. If we disagree with the Obama 'regime', however, we become riotous bigots and Nazis. Not just from the Liberal media (which is expected), but also from Democratic senators, even House-Leader Pelosi. Now even Obama is getting in on the action: community-organizing all his cronies and telling us we need to 'shutup' and 'get out of [their] way'. I guess if they were anything close to being considered an administration and not a regime, we could have the right to disagree with them.

Obama-care: Cost-per-Life

I have a question for Obama and other democrats proposing socialized-medicine for the United States. I look around at the media and am completely surprised that no one else is talking about it. Under this type of government-run medicine, how long will it take before bureaucrats decide that keeping a human-being on life-support is not cost-effective. Imagine when (not if) debts get too high and money becomes tight, the small pannel of persons trusted with all health decisions begins to look at lives in terms of cost. Obama himself stated that some older people may have to opt with pain killers as opposed to a necessary surgury; it is not any stretch of the imagination to think that all patients kept on life-support must one day be 'unplugged'. I am shocked that no body on either side is talking about this, because the day will come.

Get Out of My Party--Part 1:"Too much of the individual"?

Anybody calling themselves a 'conservative' saying that the Republican Party focuses 'too much on the individual' needs to stay FAR from this party. I say this because a great foundation of liberty is the freedoms we posses as individuals. This is key for anyone outside of the Republican Party trying to understand it. It is our desire that the residents of this nation view themselves as individuals, not as members of a larger community. Naturally, we realize that we have an obligation to those around us and act accordingly, for when we help each other, we are helping individuals reach their goals with their potential and their dreams. For one to accomplish this, one must cast aside the 'community mindset' and stand on their own two feet, accepting the consequences for their choices--good or bad. Sadly, the GOP is currently divided on this issue among others, but it is the basis for true conservatism and what we as conservative republicans live by.

The Conservative's Voice: Definition--Part 1

What could possibly be a more fitting opening entry than to define not necessarily what the conservative's voice is, but what the conservative's voice is saying. Over the next few days, months, maybe years, I will explain to anyone willing to listen exactly what that voice is saying. For now however, here is a taste: America is the greatest nation on earth, not because of our prosperity or materialistic abundance--that is merely the fruits of our greatness!--but because of the advancements of liberty and freedom in a structured, God-fearing atmosphere. Despite being headed away from what made us great via the 2008 presidential election, the conservative's voice declares the greatness of America that still exists in all that our nation has to offer.
